HOW YOU CAN HELP

Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter relies entirely on donations from our community. Every single dollar provides care for an animal in need and gives them the second chance they need and deserve.

Want to donate supplies for the shelter? Find the items our cats and dogs have wished for below. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during our open hours, or they can be left in the donation bin outside our building at any time.

Matching gifts from your employer are a great way to double your donation to Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter!  Talk with your employer to see if they have a matching program. 

You can help by becoming a sponsor of one of our annual fundraisers.  This is a great way to help meet the needs of the shelter and show the community you are a supporter of animal rescue!

Interested in making a donation in honor of someone special (human or animal)? Making a gift is a great way to honor a fellow animal-lover! Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter will send a card to the honoree informing them of your gift. Please be sure to include the name of whom you would like your donation made in honor of and where to send the acknowledgement card.

Want to help animals who have needs that go beyond what is typical? Make a donation specified to Molly's Fund, our special needs program. This program supports cats and dogs that require extensive veterinary care.  Without Molly's Fund, we would not be able to save certain dogs and cats because, as a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of kind people who support our mission to end pet homelessness.

Every day the shelter gets notice of someone asking for pet food or they want to surrender a pet because they cannot afford their care. So we have created Biscuit’s Pantry to help the one’s in your community. Your gift helps a family in need to keeps pets where they belong: in their loving homes.

Planned giving can allow you to donate more and make a difference that has a significant and lasting impact on the lives of animals. If you already have a will or trust, you should be able to add an amendment that fulfills your charitable wishes. There are additional tax benefits to these gifts and we recommend you discuss them with your legal advisor.
